Who is Double Shot Crows?
hi, you can call me Styx (for the sake of separation), she/her/whatever. i was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 13th on the mid 06. i grew up in the Pilsen area until 2017, currently taking residence in Champaign County (very vague because i don't want y'all searching 4 me). i lied about living in Chicago currently for the reason of that i want to keep that connection. i grew up with a lot of music and cultural influence at a very young age. i started with ballet for a couple of years, then choir until i was 15. i currently play the ukulele. i am a gyaru/GAL.
i was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3, then adhd at 4. i have both those conditions. this makes it hard for me to understand social cues or pay attention to certain things, even if i don't intend on being rude. i have sensory sensitiviity and a whole bunch of underlying stuff including unintentional facial expressions. i had a pretty isolating time as a minor, taking comfort in video games or the internet when i had access. i tend to have fixated interests and hobbies that seem materialistic to other people, but that's what i get for simply being autistic when i spawned.
i still have this whole gender dysphoria thing stemming from being forced into hyperfemininity at a young age. i wasn't allowed certain things because it wasn't "ladylike" or was excluded from things because of it. all of this spiraled into the time i identified as a trans guy when i was 15, really cringe period of my life. i identified as that for a couple of years, and stayed trans adjacent until recently. i am genderfae, and am now cis-aligned but the overall experience taught me to be kinder to myself when i really need it. i heavily support trans people and will stick by them, the community has helped me with finding myself. even if i didn't end up a guy lol.
i grew up with toys and whatnot, despite being way older than the intended audience, i still play with some and sleep with plushies. i had a bad habit of playing with toys intended for literally infants simply due to my sensory related fixation, which probably translated into me using only FL Studio as a DAW. the brightly colored UI and skeuomorphism makes me happy and stay focused on it longer compared to other software, that's why i stick with it. Image-Line please do not fuck this up.
my hobbies other than anything music related involve drawing, reading, playing video games, and collecting crayons. no joke, i am a Crayola superfan. i have a lot of knowledge regarding traditional visual art and art history. my favorite painter is Fridah Kahlo. despite the rumors of my Thinkpad fixation, I am not an objectum.
